Photanol develops a platform technology that enables the production of circular chemicals directly from CO2, ranging from high value food ingredients to specialty chemicals and fuels. Photanol’s technology is photo-fermentation based; direct conversion of CO2 by means of cyanobacteria in a photobioreactor. We have proven our proprietary platform technology at with cyanobacteria producing lactic acid and glycolic acid at kilogram scale, with launching customers Corbion and Nobian. In addition, with our partner Renolit we are developing Ethylene and Propylene production.
