Future Materials Forum – Driving Circular Solutions in Plastics

The Future Materials Forum project serves as a central hub for stakeholders from the plastics industry, circular economy, environmental and testing sectors to identify and implement joint projects that promote circular economy.
Its aim is to unlock ecological and economic potential across the entire value chain through close collaboration, and to make products more circular by design. The focus lies on recycling technical plastics, using bio-based materials, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The forum offers innovative approaches to the classification of alternative materials and the substitution of virgin plastics – paving the way for a more sustainable and circular future.
The Materials Forum of the Future is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (5-Site Programme) and is a project co-financed by the European Union.
