NRW.Energy4Climate is North Rhine-Westphalia’s state-based organisation for energy and climate protection. As a central point of contact, it brings together energy and resources in the four sectors with the highest emissions: energy, industry, heating and buildings, and mobility. Collectively, they account for more than 90 per cent of NRW’s greenhouse gas emissions. The aim is to accelerate the transformation process across all sectors so that North Rhine-Westphalia can achieve its goal to become climate-neutral as quickly as possible while at the same time strengthening the region’s future position as a location for industry and services.

As an initiative of the state government, IN4climate.NRW is North Rhine-Westphalia’s central platform for collaboration relating to climate neutrality in the industrial sector. Under the umbrella of the NRW.Energy4Climate state-based organisation for energy and climate protection, the think tank brings together the worlds of business and science to drive forward the climate-neutral transformation of energy-intensive branches of industry. More than 40 partner companies are now involved in various working groups focused on the key aspects of the transformation.
