Defossilisation through Innovation: One Week left to Submit Abstracts for the Renewable Materials Conference
Renewable Materials Conference from 22–24 September 2026 in Siegburg/Cologne (Germany): 80 presentations, 20 panel discussions, 16 workshops and an exhibition offer comprehensive networking with 400–500 participants
The Renewable Materials Conference 2026 (RMC), taking place from 22–24 September 2026 in Siegburg/Cologne, Germany, is the outstanding international meeting place for innovators, companies and brands, investors and policymakers to develop and shape the future renewable carbon economy. As in previous years, the conference organiser nova-Institute expects 400–500 participants from around the world. RMC is the leading global event on the renewable carbon economy, showcasing the latest progress and outlook in bioeconomy, CCU and recycling for the defossilisation of chemicals and materials with renewable carbon. All brands, large suppliers, SMEs and start-ups are invited to present their latest innovations in a wide range of formats, including presentations, workshops, exhibition booths, posters or sponsorship. Numerous networking breaks throughout all conference days, as well as two evening events, provide comprehensive opportunities for in-depth exchange and networking.

There is still the opportunity to secure one of 75 speaker slots across the five topic areas of defossilisation of the chemical industry, fossil-free plastics, policy and framework, regenerative business models, and biodegradation over the three days of the conference and in two parallel session strands. As another option, interested participants can request one of the 16 workshop slots that run parallel to and complement the conference programme.
